Lake/Burbot
Fisket efter lake är ett spännande fiske. Vi ger oss helst ut en mörk, kall och mulen kväll. Laken leker i februari , under senhösten och vintern har laken vandrat tillbaka till sina ursprung. Laken finns i sjöar men vi fiskar den i älvar och åar. Varma kläder för hela kroppen är ett måste, det kan vara rysligt kallt.¨
Marshallerna på isen lyser upp våra fiskeplatser. De grova pimpelspöet dunkar det tunga sänket i bottnen. På sänket sitter en tafs med en dubbelkrok agnad med illaluktande fiskebitar. Laken gillar det så var beredd på en kamp i strömmande vattnet.
The burbots spawningperiod is during the coldest period in february. They go up the rivers and streams to their origin, you can even find them in lakes. We go out on the ice a dark och cloudy night, the best fishing is without the stars and the moonshine. You have to bring warm clothes for the whole body. It can be really freezing!
We lit the torches and drill holes in the ice. Strong jigrods with heavy sinkers attached to the line are used. On the sinker there is a leader with a doublehook, we bait the hook with rotten fish that smells awful. The burbot likes it and the struggle can begin in the steaming water.
