Sik/Whitefish
Siken fiskar vi i mars ända till isen är på väg att bryta. Vi anväder mindre pimpelspön med tunn lina och små mormyschkor agnade med maggot.
Det är väldigt populärt att kikmeta. Det är väldigt spännande att ligga och titta ner i hålet och se fisken ta eller simma förbi. Siken söker sig till sandiga bottnar för att leka under hösten. Det bästa fisket är när det blir högvatten, då följer siken med in på grundare vatten.
The whitefish follows the flood in to more shallow waters. We seek them just under the ice or down at the bottom. The bottom is often sandy, when they spawn in the autumn they search these areas. The fishing begins in march until the ice breaks somewhere around the end off april.
We use small jigrods with thin lines and small mormyschkalures. On the lures we use one or two white maggots. In some places it's very popular to lie on the ice, peeping through the hole. You can see the fish swim by, sometimes they strike and sometimes they don't.
